Marblehead Museum is pleased to announce that it has received a $19,184 grant from the Expand Mass Stories initiative by Mass Humanities. Alongside Marblehead Museum, Mass Humanities has awarded grants to 42 cultural nonprofits for various projects, including exhibits, documentary films, oral histories, and public events. Totaling $751,424, these grants aim to reimagine the story of Massachusetts.
The funds will support the development of educational and interpretive programs related to Marblehead Museum’s newest acquisition, the Jeremiah Lee Brick Kitchen and Slave Quarters at 157 Washington St. These programs will cater to the public and school groups, showcasing the diverse stories of Colonial Marblehead.
