Marblehead Recreation & Parks Fall Programs

Marblehead Recreation & Parks offers a variety of recreational programming for children and adults in the fall, most of which start after Labor Day weekend. For a full listing of our offerings, visit Marblehead.org/recreation

The Recreation Department is also hiring in the fall. They are looking for high school students and eighth-grade volunteers.

Fall Special Events & Programs:

Scarecrow Stroll & Contest – Oct. 19, 1 – 4 p.m.

Stroll through festive scarecrow creations while trick-or-treating along the way!

No School Days @Gatchells – Oct. 3 & 4, 8:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

On the Marblehead Public Schools No School Days, come join the Playground Program and Rec & Park staff for a fun-filled day of games, sports, and arts and crafts!

Pumpkin Decorating: Paint, Glitter, Glue, & Foam Stickers Too! – Oct. 23, 1 – 4 p.m.

On the Marblehead Public Schools Half Day

Babysitting Class with Instructor Debbie LaFlame – Nov. 22

Start your journey to becoming the best babysitter today.

Afterschool Programs – a snapshot of fun programs available each day of the week for youth and adults.

Thursdays, starting Sept. 12, times vary by age:

Basketball Skills & Scrimmages
Introduction to Mountain Biking with They Ride
Wicked Cool for Kids: Science Magic

Fridays, starting Sept.13

Adult Pickleball Lessons
Adventures in STEM with Play-Well TEKnologies

Saturdays, starting Sept. 14, mornings

Super Soccer Stars

Sundays, starting Sept. 15, mornings

Jr. Soccer League: Ages 3.5-4+, Ages 4.5-5+, Ages 5.5-6+

The Marblehead Recreation & Parks Jr. Soccer League program emphasizes participation and
teamwork. Our leagues are designed to be introductory instructional programs, emphasizing fun and basic skills.

Field Hockey Youth Clinic

Join Coach Callaghan, MVMS field hockey coach, for an outdoor field hockey clinic. We will focus on skills, teamwork and gameplay for players of all levels.

Adult Badminton Drop-In Sundays

This is an indoor open gym concept badminton program. It’s fun, social, and a great workout.

There are a variety of afterschool programs through Marblehead Recreation & Parks that run at Brown, Glover & Village, including:
