The Marblehead Rotary Club’s annual 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m.
The race begins at the Boston Yacht Club parking lot at 1 Front St., Marblehead, and will end at Crocker Park. Participants are invited to stay afterward for hot dogs, chowder, cookies, and an awards ceremony at the Boston Yacht Club clubhouse.
Proceeds from the event support various Rotary Club projects, including “Inner Explorer,” a mindfulness program offered in Marblehead schools. The program equips students with life skills to manage anxiety, stress, and depression.
“Inner Explorer” is used in over 5,000 school districts nationwide, reaching more than one million students. Research has shown that it leads to improved attendance, higher test scores, and better behavior.
