Me & Thee Music is ushering in December with a Mason Daring and Jeanie Stahl concert. The musical duo is celebrating their 50th year of collaboration with this upcoming performance on Friday, Dec. 8.
Daring has more than 40 years of experience as a film and television score composer. He composed his first movie score in 1980 for director John Sayles’s “The Return of the Secaucus Seven.“ This opportunity turned into a long-term partnership with Sayles, as he has since composed the music for every subsequent production by the independent filmmaker. Daring’s television resume is highlighted by scores for Public Broadcasting Service’s “Nova” and “Frontline.“
Stahl is a vocalist who has also used her talents in media such as film and solo recordings. She has also worked with PBS, being featured on its long-running program “Masterpiece Theatre.“
The duo will be complemented by guitarist Duke Levine and bassist Richard Gates at the upcoming event.
Tickets are available for $30, while students and children can attend for a discounted price of $10. They can be purchased at Arnould’s Gallery on Washington Street or at meandthee.org. The doors are scheduled to open at 7:15 p.m., and the concert will kick off shortly after at 8 p.m.
