Throughout the last month, mysterious drones have been spotted in numerous states across the nation, just recently they have made their way to Massachusetts some even being seen in Marblehead.
These drones closely resemble airplanes, but the way they move and the blinking lights have many believing they can’t possibly be an airplane. The sightings began in New Jersey on Nov. 18 and have been widely noticed since then.
While it has been said that drones or unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) are coming from the government, hundreds of conspiracies have circled the internet. The reason for the conspiracies has stemmed from government officials being unable to release exactly what they are and why they’re here, the internet took that and ran with it.
Ranging from aliens to personal drones to surveillance people have let their imagination run wild.
These UAPs have been said to be extremely large in size, with some saying the size of cars. They also have blinking green, red, white, or blue lights. The green and red lights are used widely across flying objects indicating green is the right side of the aircraft and red is the left side.
Since the first sightings in November, the buzz surrounding the drones has died down after realizing they’re harmless. Despite there being less craze, people still record the drones and it remains a topic of conversation.
One Marblehead resident recently saw what was believed to be a drone on Saturday recording a video of it as it flew around the neighborhood.
The resident said, “This could just be someone playing with a very large personal drone, who knows. Either way, it was freaky when I saw it the first time close up to the bedroom window.”
On Dec. 14 a resident reported to the Marblehead police the sighting of one of the drones, it was reported in the police logs at 8:17 p.m. on Shorewood Road. The police reported the action with could not locate and since then there have been no other police reports.
While the drones are completely harmless, it remains a mystery exactly what they could be. If you happen to take a gander at the sky maybe you’ll see one too and question what they could be.
