A Marblehead resident and North Shore Community College staff member has been honored for her commitment and contributions to students and others at the college.
Center for Alternative Studies Assessment Coordinator Jane Saunders was honored, along with four other members of NSCC’s staff, by the 2023 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development at its annual conference held in Austin, Texas.
In a statement, Saunders spoke about the inspiration she draws from her job.
“My success as an educator is based solely on the excellence of the team of people I work with, members of the community college at large, and their dedication to the communities we serve,” Saunders said. “I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of NSCC and community colleges in general.”
The other four winners from NSCC included Allissa Flint-Kummel and Tiffany Magnolia of Lynn, Mary Meng-Lee of Middleton, and Jennifer Baker of Topsfield.
NSCC President Dr. William Heineman commented on the winners of the award.
“I am pleased to congratulate our fine faculty and staff members who received this year’s awards,” Heineman said. “NSCC greatly benefits from their commitment and dedication to our students inside and outside the classroom!”
