The town website provided this update from the Highway and Engineering departments on Pleasant, Village, and Vine streets construction work.

The tentative work plan slated to begin on Monday calls for the Friday work schedule to include site cleanup, fine grading, forming, and prepping for concrete sidewalks.

Saturday’s schedule includes pouring remaining concrete sidewalks along Pleasant Street.

Drivers should anticipate traffic restrictions with access to Vine Street maintained.

During construction, drivers and pedestrians are urged to expect

traffic delays.

Be mindful of changing traffic patterns, and follow all construction signage. Stay alert – frequently check for changing walking routes.

Should work require significant changes, detours will be posted by Marblehead Police Department.

Businesses in the area will remain open throughout construction. MBTA bus routes will be operating as usual. Additional notifications will be given if temporary modifications to the bus route are needed.
