Police Logs: Oct. 9-14

Thursday, October 9

Property Checks

On Thursday, officers conducted multiple property checks across town.

At 12:16 a.m., a property check on Community Road was completed with services rendered.

At 12:19 a.m., an additional check on Atlantic Avenue resulted in services rendered.

At 12:44 a.m., officers checked a building on Stramski Way and found it secure.

At 2:56 a.m. and 2:57 a.m., two checks were performed on Ocean Avenue, with both buildings secured.

At 6:43 a.m., a check on Pleasant Street resulted in services rendered.

Further checks were conducted at 9:52 a.m. on Community Road and 9:56 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue, both yielding no issues.

Additional rounds were made at 1:49 p.m. and 1:53 p.m. at the same locations, with services rendered.

At 8:11 p.m., a property check on Community Road found the premises secured.

Motor Vehicle Complaints and Stops

On Thursday, traffic enforcement and vehicle-related calls were handled throughout the day.

At 7:23 a.m., a vehicle stop on Pleasant Street resulted in a citation.

At 9:52 a.m., a motor vehicle complaint on Cornell Road was investigated.

At 11:40 a.m., officers assisted a disabled motorist at Ocean Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, with services rendered.

At 12:17 p.m., a motor vehicle complaint near Cowell Street and Pond Street resulted in services rendered.

At 5:22 p.m., a motor vehicle complaint on Pleasant Street was investigated.

General Complaints and Suspicious Activity

On Thursday, at 9:04 a.m., officers investigated a general information report on Mohawk Road; a report was taken.

At 11:16 a.m., a 911 hang-up on Lafayette Street was checked and determined to be non-emergency in nature, with services rendered.

At 7:31 p.m., officers received general information at Community Road with no further action needed.

Alarms and Utilities

On Thursday, at 7:00 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Peter Circle; it was deemed a false alarm.

At 4:44 p.m., another burglar alarm sounded on Sargent Road, which was also determined to be false.

Incidents and Other Reports

On Thursday, several miscellaneous incidents were addressed.

At 8:19 a.m., officers responded to a call on Tucker Street; services were rendered.

Between 11:08 a.m. and 11:33 a.m., several summons services were attempted on Humphrey Street and West Shore Drive, all successfully rendered.

At 11:27 a.m., police assisted another agency at Hammond Place.

At 1:19 p.m., a report of larceny/fraud on Humphrey Street was investigated; services rendered.

At 1:58 p.m., another fraud report on Kenneth Road resulted in a report taken, while a separate call on Maverick Street required no action.

At 5:13 p.m., officers investigated a larceny on Tyler Row, and a report was taken.

At 5:16 p.m., police assisted a citizen on Gerry Street, and a report was taken.

At 7:34 p.m., found property was turned in from Atlantic Avenue, with services rendered.

Friday, October 10

Property Checks

On Friday, officers conducted property checks on Stramski Way, West Shore Drive, and Pleasant Street; all locations were found secure. Additional evening checks on Community Road and Atlantic Avenue were completed with no issues.

Motor Vehicle Complaints and Stops

A traffic stop on Atlantic Avenue near Hathaway Road resulted in a citation. Later, a motor vehicle complaint was reported on Ocean Avenue; a report was taken.

General Complaints and Suspicious Activity

A complaint was investigated near Ocean Avenue and Beach Street; services were rendered.

Alarms and Utilities

A burglar alarm on Pleasant Street was checked and found secure. Utility checks for National Grid were conducted on Ware Lane; no action was required.

Incidents and Other Reports

Officers assisted a citizen on Pleasant Street, and later that evening, a disturbance at the same location resulted in a report being taken.

Saturday, October 11 

Property Checks

On Saturday, at 1:34 a.m., officers conducted a property check on Stramski Way; services were rendered.
At 12:41 p.m., a property check on Community Road was completed; services were rendered.
At 12:44 p.m., another check on Atlantic Avenue was performed; services were rendered.

Motor Vehicle Complaints and Stops

On Saturday, at 4:48 p.m., a vehicle was stopped near School Street and Essex Street, resulting in a verbal warning.

General Complaints and Suspicious Activity

On Saturday, at 11:00 a.m., a general complaint on Wyman Road was investigated and found to be unfounded.
At 12:59 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance on Londonderry Road; services were rendered.
At 1:20 p.m., a general complaint was received near Marblehead Harbor; services were rendered.
At 2:31 p.m., a 911 hang-up was reported on Broughton Road; the area was checked, and the call was investigated.
At 3:59 p.m., a general complaint was investigated on Pleasant Street; services were rendered.

Alarms and Utilities

On Saturday, at 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a utility issue near West Shore Drive and Village Street. The source could not be located.

Incidents and Other Reports

On Saturday, at 5:38 a.m., officers assisted a citizen on Pleasant Street; a report was taken.
At 6:50 a.m., several roadway checks were conducted on Conant Road, Prospect Street, and Ware Lane; all areas were secure, and services were rendered.
At 9:22 a.m., officers responded to a report of found or lost property on Cornell Road; services were rendered.
At 10:58 a.m., police assisted another citizen on Gerry Street; no action was required.
At 1:37 p.m., officers assisted a citizen near Route 128 North at Brimbal Avenue; services were rendered.
At 10:40 p.m., police received general information from Pleasant Street; a report was taken.

 Sunday, October 12

Property Checks

On Sunday, properties were checked on Community Road, Atlantic Avenue, and Stramski Way; all were found secure.

General Complaints and Suspicious Activity

Officers responded to several neighborhood complaints, including incidents on Barnard Hawkes Court, Humphrey Street, and Abbot Street. Some reports were taken, while others were unfounded or required no further action.

Alarms and Utilities

Burglar alarms on Pleasant Street, Cloutmans Lane, and Pickwick Road were investigated and determined to be secure.

Incidents and Other Reports

Police assisted residents on Nicholson Street and Colonial Court. A disturbance on Pleasant Street led to a report being taken, and a larceny was reported on Community Road.

Monday, October 13

Property Checks

On Monday, officers conducted routine property checks on Community Road and Atlantic Avenue; all were found secure.

General Complaints and Suspicious Activity

A general complaint was reported on Village Street; services were rendered.

Alarms and Utilities

Police responded to a burglar alarm on Widger Road; the property was found secure. A utility issue on Maverick Street was referred to the appropriate agency.

Incidents and Other Reports

Officers assisted another agency on Gerry Street and handled a “be on the lookout” request on Washington Street.

Tuesday, October 14

Property Checks

On Tuesday, numerous property checks were conducted throughout the day and evening on Atlantic Avenue, Community Road, Ocean Avenue, Humphrey Street, and Lighthouse Lane. All were found secure.

Motor Vehicle Complaints and Stops

A complaint of erratic driving at Village and Vine Streets resulted in a report being taken. Another complaint at Pleasant and Gerry Streets was resolved with services rendered. A motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Street led to a verbal warning.

Accidents

Police and fire units responded to a crash at Pleasant and Gerry Streets. One report was taken following the incident.

General Complaints and Suspicious Activity

Officers addressed general complaints on Auburndale Road, Cheever Avenue, and Village Street. Some calls required no action, while others were handled with services rendered.

Alarms and Utilities

Burglar alarms were reported on Baldwin Road and Orne Street; both were determined to be false or secure. Utility calls on Washington and Mechanic Streets were referred to public works crews.

Incidents and Other Reports

Police responded to a 911 hang-up on Green Street, where peace was restored. Officers also assisted citizens on Access Road and served a summons on Rockaway Avenue.
