The Compensation Committee voted to hire a veterans agent and town planner during its meeting Tuesday.
The veterans-agent position has been unfilled since June 30, Committee Chair Thatcher Kezer said.
Roseann Trionfi-Mazzuchelli will fill the position starting Sept. 23.
Trionfi-Mazzuchelli has been the veterans’ service director of Melrose, Wakefield, and Saugus for the past two years.
She also served in the U.S. Army on active duty and in the Army Reserve for a total of 21 years, according to her resume.
Alexander Eitler has been hired as the town planner, a position that has been open since Feb. 29, and will start the role Aug. 26.
Eitler currently works as an associate urban planner at Washington Gas. He has a master’s degree in environmental technology in urban sustainable environments from Imperial College London.
According to his resume, he has worked on “several groundbreaking real-estate research reports related to the built environment during his time at ULI Europe and is experienced in land-use research and regional zoning analysis.”
The board unanimously approved both candidates and agreed that they were extremely qualified.
