Join the Recreation and Parks Department for a day of winter fun. Students in grades three through six are invited to a one-day trip at Ski Bradford to either ski or ride. Children will ride to the ski area on a Marblehead Public School bus to enjoy a day full of alpine activities, supervised by Recreation and Parks staff and parent volunteers.
The trip is Jan. 29. Drop off takes place at 8:25 a.m. at the Community Center at 10 Humphreys St. Pick-up is at the same location at 4 p.m. Lunch will not be provided, but there will be a nut-free afternoon snack.
Participants are welcome to sign-up for Ski Bradford lessons and/or rent equipment at the mountain. Volunteers will assist the children in finding their lessons and rentals. Parents who would like to volunteer to chaperone can purchase a discounted lift ticket.
Recreation and Parks urges participants to pack a lunch or have money to purchase a lunch, as well as pack plenty of water to stay hydrated. Children should also come dressed in weather-appropriate winter clothing.
