St. Michael’s Episcopal Church announces ‘Heart of Christmas’ events

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church is refreshing its long-standing Heart of Christmas traditions with a series of community-centered events designed to bring warmth, connection, and holiday spirit to Marblehead this season.

This year’s updated program includes several new touches alongside beloved favorites, with offerings for families, neighbors, music lovers, and parishioners alike.

Holiday Events Schedule

Sunday, Nov. 30 – Wreath Sales (11 a.m. to Noon)

The season begins with the return of our annual wreath sales on the church lawn. All proceeds support parish ministries and local outreach.

Thursday, Dec. 4 – Tree Lighting & Community Gathering (6:30 to 8 p.m.)

Join us for the town’s Tree Lighting at St. Michael’s, featuring caroling, “chili in a bag,” s’mores on the lawn, and a festive atmosphere for all ages.

A North Shore Chamber Music Society Holiday Concert will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Friday, Dec. 5 – Spirit of St. Michael’s Fundraising Gala (6 to 8 p.m.)

A refreshed and elevated evening highlighting the heart of our parish. Guests will enjoy sparkling refreshments and local small bites while previewing select silent auction items ahead of Saturday’s Christmas Market. Suggested donation is $75 per person. Reservations can be made online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/st-michaels-heart-of-christmas-fundraising-gala-tickets-1970472779126?aff=oddtdtcreator. Payment will be collected at the door.

Saturday, Dec. 6 – Annual Heart of Christmas Market (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

A community favorite featuring local artisans, holiday gifts, baked goods, and silent auction offerings. Proceeds support the mission and ministries of St. Michael’s.

Sunday, Dec. 7 – Advent Lessons & Carols (5 to 6 p.m.)

A cherished Advent tradition of scripture, choral music, and reflection, with a reception to follow.

Thursday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 7 – Thrift Shop open

The Thrift Shop will have added hours for Christmas Walk. Thursday it will be open from 5  to 7 p.m., Friday it will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday is 10 to 3 p.m. and Sunday will be noon to 3 p.m.

St. Michael’s invites the entire Marblehead community to celebrate the season with us and experience this year’s revitalized Heart of Christmas events. Additional event information, graphics, and updates will be shared across Facebook, Instagram, The Current, Patch, and our church e-news.
