Sustainable Marblehead will host its Sustainability Fair on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brown School.
All are invited to attend and experience the fair, which includes EV test drives, learning about bike safety in a children’s bike rodeo, exploring green technology for homes, discovering ways to reduce waste, creating fun children’s crafts, hearing from expert speakers, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with nonprofits about their efforts to protect the planet and talk to businesses offering green solutions for a brighter future. The fair will feature “The Old Men of Marblehead,” a country and Americana group.
Kids and teens are welcome to enter the poster contest on standard 8.5 x 11 paper. All entries are due by Sept. 21. The topic is “For a more Sustainable Marblehead, I can do this:” Posters can be created at the Abbot Library children’s room or printed at home. Posters can be dropped off at the library or mailed to PO Box 1320, Marblehead, MA 01945. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at the fair, donated by Pint Size & Up, Mud Puddle Toys, and Starbucks.
