The Agency celebrates joining Chamber

April 9, 2025 by Amanda Lurey

The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce celebrated its new Chamber member, The Agency Marblehead, last Thursday, April 4, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We’re a boutique luxury real estate brokerage, but we service all price points, and while the office is headquartered in Marblehead, we work through eastern Massachusetts,” Managing Partner Michael Cannuscio said about The Agency. “We have a group of agents that work on the North Shore, a few that work in downtown Boston, and also several that are South Shore and on the Cape.

“I came from another brand that was luxury-focused. I would say that we’re a traditional real estate brokerage, but we’re very collaborative as well as entrepreneurial and creative in terms of marketing.”

Cannuscio said the collaborative nature of The Agency is both internal and external.

“Not only are the agents at the company collaborative in terms of helping out when people are away on vacation or trying to brainstorm ideas to market a property, but there are 3,000 agents in The Agency’s network of 135 offices – and on social media, Instagram in particular, agents will support the listings that we then market, and they’ll share information about our company,” Cannuscio said. “It’s a very supportive group and everybody wants everyone else to succeed.

The Marblehead resident said that while The Agency refers to itself as a “luxury-oriented brokerage,” it’s not just about price point.

“People think of luxury real estate as homes above a certain price point. To some, that might mean above $2 million or $3 million or above $1 million or even above, say, $700,000 or $800,000,” he said. “But really, luxury is more the level of service that we provide to our clients in the transaction because each property is so valuable to each owner, right?

“You could have a $300,000 condo that means everything to the owner and needs to be handled professionally and marketed as well as possible, just like the larger homes we sell that are worth millions of dollars.”

He added, “I think people might exclude us from certain conversations or opportunities if they think that we’re just servicing a clientele at a very high price point.”

The Agency is located at 72 Front St., Suite 6.
