Suite life
Marblehead Little Theatre presents Plaza Suite by Neil Simon. Hilarity abounds in this portrait of three couples successively occupying a suite at the Plaza. Tickets on sale now and shows run from March 30 to April 2.
In full bloom
From 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 31, two Marblehead businesses, Creative Spirit and MacRae’s Sustainable Goods, will hold a reception open to the public in celebration of the opening of their next collaborative art exhibit: Earth in Bloom. The non-juried exhibit showcases the work of artists of all ages and backgrounds. This is the first exhibit in a series that will take place at MacRae’s through winter 2024, located at 108 Washington St.
It’s a Party
Have some fun with the Guy Ford Band on April 1 from 7-11 p.m. at 12R Atlantic Ave. Hosted by owners of Marblehead Hardware Fred Ferris and Karl Smith, the open party is BYOB, and make sure to bring your dancing shoes as well.
Egged on
On April 2, the Recreation and Parks will host a fire truck egg drop challenge at the Jacobi Community Center. Build a landing device and put your egg inside, then firefighters will drop the design from the top of a ladder truck. If the egg does not crack, the design is deemed a success. For every contestant who’s egg survives, a prize will be awarded. Participants must arrive no later than 4:15 p.m. with their design and eggs will begin dropping at 4:30 p.m.
