Histerical hypnotist

 

On Saturday, April 22, R-rated comedy hypnotist Frank Santos Jr. will be performing at the Warwick Cinema. Watch and laugh at your friends and family getting hypnotized by Santos, or volunteer yourself to go up on stage. Santos has been performing across New England for multiple decades. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets for general admission are $25. Poetic people 

 

In honor of national poetry month, the Marblehead Museum will feature local students who are involved in poetry on April 24. During the event, those in attendance will hear students reading their favorite poems. Conversations will also be held on why poetry is important, especially those who have gone unheard, and how it can help others express themselves and make sense of the world. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Marblehead Museum and via zoom. 

 

Asking the turf questions with Chip

 

Sustainable Marblehead invites you to learn how to move from conventional turf and landscape management practices to a more natural approach with Chip Osborne via zoom on Tuesday, April 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. To RSVP for the event, visit sustainablemarblehead.org. 

 

Come sail away

 

On Wednesday, April 26, the Marblehead Yacht Club will hold “Getting the Most out of Your Sails,” a session where attendees will receive tips on how to gain better sail trim for cruising and racing boats. The event will help all kinds of sailors learn tricks to get their boats to sail better. The event will involve information starting with setting the rig, and how sail shape can be improved by using halyards, lines, and sheets.The event starts at 7 p.m.

    Ryan Vermette is the Item's Marblehead reporter. He graduated from Springfield College in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Sports Journalism. While in school, he wrote multiple sports articles for the school newspaper, the Springfield Student, and joined Essex Media Group in August, 2022.
