Earth Day encore
Join the Marblehead Conservancy in continuing the Earth Day celebrations on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lead Mills Conservation. Join in activities like planting wildflowers and cleaning up the beach. Seedlings, tools, water, and trash bags are all provided. Individuals, families, and small groups are all invited to attend. It’s recommended that those participating wear gloves and sturdy shoes.
Tea party commemoration
On Sunday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at the Green Street Cemetery, the Boston Tea Party Museum and Revolution 250 will be honoring Dr. Elisha Story of Marblehead, a known participant in the Boston Tea Party. Revolution 250 is an effort put together by a number of organizations to commemorate the 250th anniversary of events that led to the American Revolution, including honoring known members of the Boston Tea Party. The event will be attended by Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum Creative Manager Evan O’Brien, Massachusetts Historical Society Revolution 250 Coordinator Jonathan Lane, Marblehead Town Historian Don Doliber, Worshipful Master of the Philanthropic Lodge in Marblehead Eric Berg, and members of Glovers Regiment.
Yoga flow
Head over to the Yoga Loft on Sunday, April 30 at 3:30 p.m. for a special event class that aims to help you find peace and balance by incorporating CBD and its benefits. The event will feature an introduction to CBD by Marblehead native and founder of women’s wellness company Kind Lab Angela Arena, in which she will discuss its impact on the body and mind. Afterwards, attendees will be guided through a yoga class that aims to release tension and create space in the body by moving mindfully.
Talk of the Town (Meeting)
The 2023 annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, May 1 starting at 7 p.m. inside the Veterans Middle School Auditorium, located at 217 Pleasant St. Town Meeting is expected to last at least two nights, consisting of 54 articles.
