Picturing Georgia

On Friday, May 12 at 11 a.m., Ulrike Welsch will take attendees on a photographic journey through the country of Georgia, located in eastern Europe. Welsch recently visited Georgia and will show and tell her experiences in a country known for its art and agriculture, as well as being one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world. Guests are kindly asked to RSVP by calling the Council on Aging at 781-631-6225.

Celebrate Spring times

Discover Marblehead and the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce are partnering up yet again for the 2023 Marblehead Spring Celebration. The event, which will be held on Saturday May 13, will feature a festive showcase of local businesses, restaurants, stores, makers, and artists from around the town.

Dinner is served

On Monday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m., indulge in the fresh and vibrant flavors of Soall Viet Kitchen, located in downtown Marblehead, as the first event in the Cooking from the Heart Dinner Series. During the event, owner Sa will make a four-course meal that is inspired by her favorite dishes. The meals are influenced by the home-cooking of her mother and will represent authentic Vietnamese comfort foods, street foods, and home-cooking delights. Tickets are $120 per person and includes food, beverage, tax, gratuity and fees. 

Town government teachings

Interested in learning how Marblehead town government works? Visit Abbot Library on Monday, May 15 for the first in a series of lectures on an introduction to Marblehead’s town government. The event is put on in association with Abbot Public Library and the Marblehead League of Women Voters. During the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about how different town departments work and operate. The first speaker in the series will be Superintendent for the Water and Sewer Commission Amy McHugh. The program will be offered in person and via Zoom. To register, visit the Abbot Public Library website.
