Sidewalk Sale

The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce will be holding an all-day town-wide Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, June 10. The town’s finest boutiques and eateries will be offering sales and discounts along with fun for both residents and visitors. Those coming out for the sale can see participating businesses on Atlantic Avenue, Pleasant Street, and through the Historic District.

World Ocean Day

Sustainable Marblehead will be holding its third annual World Ocean Day celebration on Sunday, June 11, from 1-4 p.m. at State Street Landing. Featured at the event will be showcases of green technologies and exciting future plans for Marblehead Harbor from the 2023 Marblehead Harbor Plan. In addition, Sustainable Marblehead is partnering with the Marblehead-based CW Hood Yachts to display the new Hood 26E — an all-electric, high-speed, classic New England center console.

YMCA Golf Tournament

Join the YMCA of the North Shore on Monday, June 12, for the 2023 Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA Golf Tournament, held at Tedesco Country Club. Registration will open at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11 a.m. before the tournament kicks off. At 11:50 a.m. there will be a welcome and stretch, with the tournament beginning at noon. Following the tournament, there will be a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. before dinner and awards at 6 p.m.

Juneteenth Ceremony

On Wednesday, June 14, join the town of Marblehead and the North Shore Juneteenth Association for the Juneteenth Ceremony at the Abbot Hall lawn at 4:30 p.m. Kicking off the event will be African drumming and storytelling by Greg Coles Dance and Drum before a welcome by Select Board member Jackie Belf-Becker. An introduction will be made by the North Shore Juneteenth Association President and Founder Nicole McClain, and a poem will be read by Damilola Graciella Olabisi from Veterans Middle School. In addition, the Marblehead High School students’ vision will be shared, along with a reflection from the Rev. Andre Bennette and a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by Taylor Crowell.
