Farmers’ Market Opening Day

The Marblehead Farmers’ Market is returning for the summer with opening day scheduled for Saturday, May 27. Established in 1997, the market will feature fresh produce, flowers, and more from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Veterans Middle School.

Homegrown House Concerts

Hayley Reardon, a critically acclaimed folk pop artist, is returning to Homegrown House Concerts for their first event of the season on Friday, May 26. The concert will take place at 23 Rowland St. and is set to take place in the living room with a capacity of 35, and will move out doors depending on the weather. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Suggested donations for the event are $20 per person or more.

Downtown Touring

On Thursday, May 25, Judy Anderson of Marblehead Architecture Heritage & Tours will begin a series of two-hour walking tours of Marblehead’s downtown as a part of National Preservation Month. The tours will also take place Friday, May 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Memorial Day weekend. The tour groups will meet at Abbot Hall and will be cancelled if it is expected to rain. No reservations are required.

Spring Paint-Out

More than 20 of New England’s best artists will show out at Marblehead’s byways, highways, and waterways painting in the open air on Thursday, May 26, and Friday, May 27. Once their work is completed, it will be displayed at Arnould Gallery and Framery. The exhibit will remain up through July 4 and there will be a reception at the gallery, located at 111 Washington St. on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
