History of whaling lecture
Marblehead Museum welcomes local favorite, Eric Jay Dolin, as he returns for a lecture on his book “Leviathan: A History of Whaling in America.” Few things can capture the sheer danger and desperation of the deep sea as dramatically as whaling. Dolin’s sweeping social history provides fantastic accounts of whalers who mutinied, murdered, rioted, deserted, drank, and left a legacy of environmental destruction. This lecture is in person and on Zoom.
