Annual Scarecrow Stroll

The annual Scarecrow Stroll is on Oct. 14, 2023, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Gerry Playground, Stramski Way. Fall family fun, trick-or-treating, costumes, and more! All children and adults attending must purchase a $5 entry ticket.

Haunted Lighthouses of New England

Virtual Program – Lighthouses and ghost stories often seem to go hand in hand. On Monday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m., in collaboration with Abbot Public Library and Ashland Public Library, join author and historian Jeremy D’Entremon’s online discussion on the stories of haunted lighthouses around New England. His presentations combine historic and new photos, film clips and audio clips, as well as some of the paranormal investigations he’s joined.

Where the Bodies are Buried

Join Marblehead Museum on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. for Where the Bodies are Buried. Pam Peterson will reveal the lively history of our local cemeteries, from the colonial gravestones of Old Burial Hill to the Victorian vaults of Waterside Cemetery. Hear the stories of the Marblehead fishermen, merchants, church leaders, and heroes who lie 6 feet under. Pam Peterson is a Marblehead cemetery commissioner, and serves as the commissioner of the Marblehead Historical Commission. Event is in person or Zoom.

Small Bites, Big Conversation

Hope for Haiti presents “Small Bites, Big Conversation” at Clifton Lutheran Church on Thursday, Oct. 19!  This hybrid event will be an educational and conversational evening focused on learning about the current situation in Haiti and hearing from the founders of Mission of Hope, International. Location: 150 Humphrey St.
