Ladies Night at Hestia

Relax, create, eat, drink and have a great time. Hestia Creations will supply everything needed to paint and create one-of-a-kind artistic projects – all you need to bring is your imagination and creativity! Come in with friends or come on your own to a fun and festive evening of painting. Light appetizers will be served, please feel free to bring your own refreshments. Community Menorah Lighting

Join our community on the First Night of Hanukkah for a Community Menorah Lighting — Thursday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. All are welcome and event includes songs, blessings and a Hanukkah treat. Location: National Grand Bank of Marblehead (91 Pleasant St.)

Holiday Book Sale

Joy to the bookshelf! Give some books a new home this holiday season – a treat for yourself or a gift for others. The Friends of Abbot Public Library will be hosting a Holiday Book Sale from Thursday, Dec. 7 through Saturday, Dec. 9. Everything will be discounted from the normal prices marked at the Sail Away Book Shop (e.g. hardcovers will be $2 and paperbacks will be $1). Deck the halls with lots of new reads this holiday season!

Tip-Off Night

The Friends of Marblehead Basketball organization will be hosting a Tip-off Night featuring the Harlem Wizards on Friday, Dec. 8 from 7 – 9:15 p.m. to celebrate the start of the basketball season. Proceeds from the event will go towards funding girls and boys basketball program needs for all levels including upgrading equipment, providing student scholarships, a donation to the Heather Walker Memorial Fund through Dana Farber and much more.
