Feb. 11: 1 – 3 p.m. Tackling Climate Change in Marblehead
The Old North Church and Sustainable Marblehead are co-organizing an event on Sunday, Feb. 11 in the efforts to fight climate change. State Rep. Jenny Armini will be our headline speaker and she will discuss recent legislative actions and proposals for addressing climate change and environmental protection. Armini will be followed by Eileen Mathieu, a Sustainable Marblehead leader who will provide a summary of the Net Zero Roadmap from the Green Marblehead Committee. The event will conclude with presentations from Marblehead Light Board Commissioner Lisa Wolf and Sustainable Marblehead Leader Mark Adams on things that homeowners can do to save money and reduce carbon output from their homes by going green. A summary of the federal, state, and local incentives will also be covered. The event is free and will start at 1 p.m. in the Old North Church Parish Hall located at 35 Washington St.
