“Merry Dip” Polar Plunge
Join the Merry Mixers for their first annual Merry Dip on Sunday March 3 @ 10 a.m. at Devereux Beach in Marblehead. Jump out of your comfort zone and into an invigorating experience all to benefit pediatrics at Salem Hospital. The plunge will be lead by local @whwolfpack leader Kyann who will be onsite to share all of the amazing wellness benefits of the icy water. If you’re up for the challenge, you must register with a $30 donation to Merry Mixers. All proceeds will go directly toward our yearly fundraising goal. All are welcome to partake in the plunge or donate without plunging and come to cheer everyone on!
Local Striper Fishing – Tips & Techniques
Scott Edwards is and has been an avid and very productive sport fisherman in local waters for many years. He is an active member of Maddie’s Anglers and has organized and led many fishing tournaments. He will share his tips related to bait, tides, depths, and other tips of how to catch striped bass at Marblehead Yacht Club on March 6. Program is free and open to MYC members and the general public.
Preservation Plans for General Glover’s Farm House
The historic farm house of Gen. John Glover of Marblehead at the outskirts of town will soon be demolished and gone forever, unless funding to save it can be raised by Spring. A free illustrated talk will be on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in Marblehead’s Old Town House on Washington Street (at State Street) where the urgent preservation effort currently underway to “Save the Glover” will be discussed.

On Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m., Marblehead’s Tree Warden, Jonathan Fobert, will be the next presenter for the Intro to Marblehead Town Government series with Abbot Public Library. Join them in person at the library or online via Zoom to learn more about his responsibilities for Marblehead.
