Thursday, Aug. 21

Marine Corps’ 250th Birthday Celebration at Fort Sewall

4:30 p.m.

Glover’s Marblehead Regiment has been invited to participate in the United States Marine Corps’ 250th birthday celebration at Fort Sewall. Festivities start at 4:30 p.m. at Fort Sewall and will include a Silent Drill Platoon, Color Guard, the Quantico Marine Band, a birthday cake, a Marine flyover, and remarks from dignitaries, including Congressman Seth Moulton.

Quantico Marine Rock Band Performance

6:30-8:30 p.m.

See the Quantico Marine Rock Band perform popular hits live in a high-energy evening of music and celebration. Head down to The Landing to hear them play at 81 Front St., Marblehead.

Jazz at the Arts: Yoko Miwa Trio

7 p.m.

The Marblehead Arts Association and Gene Arnould present a very special performance by the Yoko Miwa Trio as part of our Jazz at the Arts concert series. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Cash bar. Tickets: $35. Tickets available online, in advance at the Marblehead Arts Association, or at Arnould Gallery in Marblehead.

Friday, Aug. 22

Friday Night Films – The Extra Terrestrial

7 p.m.

Marblehead Little Theatre announces Friday Night Films at MLT! Four Fridays in August will feature a beloved classic with an introduction by Marc Wortman, Marblehead Resident Film Critic. Tickets: $10 adults, $5 children 12 and under, available at the door (cash or Venmo). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own popcorn or snacks; concessions also available for sale prior to the movie start time. Make it a date night with your sweetie, have fun with a friend or two, or introduce your kids to films you loved that stand the test of time!

73’ Duster

9 p.m.

Join The Beacon for live music with 73’ Duster. Music starts at 9 p.m. Location: 123 Pleasant St., Marblehead.

Saturday, Aug. 23

Marblehead Farmers’ Market

9 a.m.-12 p.m.

The 2025 Marblehead Farmers Market will be every Saturday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. from May 31 through Nov. 22. Location: Veterans Middle School.

Kumihimo Bracelet with Sliding Knot

10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese braiding technique employed to make rope ties for kimonos. Jewelers have adapted this technique to make beautiful cord or beaded ropes in many styles. In this class with Eos Designs Studio, you will complete a round 8-strand beaded rope bracelet with a tie slide knot closure. This is a popular class, so sign up early! $36.00 + materials.

Paddle Board Yoga

9-11 a.m.

Join Jennifer Craig of The Yoga Loft for a unique 60-minute yoga session on the water, where your paddle board becomes your floating mat. All equipment is provided by SUP East Coast Style, and your board will be securely anchored throughout the class for stability and safety. No experience needed for this practice, and all levels are welcome. SUP East Coast Style will introduce the basics of paddle boarding to ensure the most success for this unique experience. After your yoga practice, enjoy an optional 30-minute paddle around the harbor to explore and unwind.

Just Wear White Party with True North

9 p.m.

Join The Beacon for their annual Just Wear White Party with live music from True North. Get your favorite white party attire together and enjoy the event of the summer season. Party starts at 4 p.m., music starts at 9 p.m. Location: 123 Pleasant St., Marblehead.

Sunday, Aug. 24

Jazz in the Garden: Noah Preminger

2-4 p.m.

Celebrate good vibrations in the garden with Noah Preminger. $20 – $25 donations for musicians. Reservations are required. Click the link below for more information.

Mixed Media Meetup

3:30-5 p.m.

This exciting gathering is perfect for artists of all levels to connect, share innovative techniques, and dive into lively discussions of materials and substrates. Whether you’re a member or non-member, come explore the endless possibilities of mixed media in a welcoming, collaborative environment. Location: Marblehead Arts Association.
