‘The Great Gatsby: An American Musical’

One of the most renowned American novels will take the form of a musical in June as Marblehead Little Theatre presents the world premiere of “The Great Gatsby: An American Musical.”

Author visit

Children’s book author Paul Karins will be making a special appearance at Mud Puddle Toys on Saturday, June 24, at 2 p.m. to offer an opportunity for children and their parents to purchase his fifth book, “Unlikely Friends,” and have it signed and personalized by Karins.

Art show opening reception

The Marblehead Arts Association will be featuring the work of its artist members during the height of the summer season. To celebrate, an opening reception is being held on Sunday, June 25, from 2-4 p.m. at 8 Hooper St. At the reception, there will be multiple galleries featuring MAA juried artist members.

Champagne Reception

The summer Marblehead Festival of Arts will kick off with a champagne reception on Sunday, June 25, from 5-7 p.m. The event will be held at the historic Fort Sewall. Refrshments will be served under a tent, with tastings provided by a number of fine restaurants and caterers. Guests will be able to sip champagne while listening to live music from Krewe de Groove and enjoying views of the Marblehead Harbor.
