Thursday, March 13

Knotted Jewelry with Leather and/or Silk

4 – 6 p.m.

Discover the art of knotted jewelry in this beginner-friendly class where you’ll learn the proper technique to create stylish, elegant pieces. Using your choice of silk or leather cording, you’ll work with pearls, gemstones, or glass beads to craft a beautiful knotted necklace or bracelet. No prior experience is needed. We will guide you through each step, ensuring you master the knotting technique while designing a one-of-a-kind piece. Whether you’re looking to add a timeless accessory to your collection or want to explore the versatility of knotted jewelry, this class is the perfect place to start. $26 + materials at Eos Designs Studio.

Spirit Night

6 – 8 p.m.

Escape the winter doldrums and warm up with our 2nd annual Spirit Night fundraiser, hosted this year at the Masonic Lodge at 62 Pleasant St. Kate Mazzotta of Origin Beverages will lead guests on a guided tasting of fine scotch and whiskey, paired with heavy appetizers catered by Every Little Breeze. Tastings will include: Arran 10 year-old Scotch, Old Pultney 12 year-old Scotch, Speyburn 10 year-old Scotch, The Irishman Harvest Irish Whiskey, Writers Tears Double Oak and Waterford Cuvee Cask. Tickets are $85 for museum members and $95 for the public. All guests must be over the age of 21. All proceeds help to fund the operations of the Marblehead Museum.

Friday, March 14

Jewelry Making with the Peyote Stitch

3 – 5 p.m.

Peyote is a basic but versatile stitch used in many bead weaving & embroidering projects. In this two session class with Eos Designs Studio, learn how to stitch together small Japanese Delica beads to create intricate jewelry. In the first session, beginners can choose a simple ring, bracelet or tube which can adorn a leather bracelet. Experienced students will work on patterned work in an original design. In the second class, students will learn how to create a beaded pendant. Fridays March 14 and March 28, 3 – 5 pm. $70 + materials.

Comedy Night at MLT with Amy Tee

7 – 9 p.m.

Take a break from a cold winter with a weekend of laughter with Marblehead Little Theatre. On Friday, March 14, Amy Tee headlines an evening of terrific stand-up comedy along with two excellent Boston comedians, Matt McArthur and Dan Donahue as well as Mona Forgione. Get ready for a night filled with laughter and fun at the Marblehead Little Theatre. Amy Tee is known for her witty humor and engaging performances that will have you rolling in your seats. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see a talented comedian live on stage. Grab your friends and come join us for a night of comedy you won’t forget.

Saturday, March 15

A Few Kind Words – The Uplifting Power of Writing Unexpected Letters of Appreciation

10 a.m. – noon

On a quest to fill her soul with positivity, Life & Wellness coach, Tracey Gates, challenged herself to write an unexpected, handwritten letter of appreciation to a different person every day for one year. What she found on her transformational journey was that we all want to know we matter and being interested in those around us is one of the kindest and most nourishing things we can do both for ourselves and others. Join Tracey in this interactive class as she guides you in the simple yet overlooked practice of writing your own unexpected letters of appreciation so you can experience for yourself the delicious gift of sharing… a few kind words. You will leave with a draft of letter that will make both your day and the day of your lucky recipient. Leather & Bead Wrap Bracelet

10 a.m. – noon

In this class we will learn the stitching technique to make a Ladder Stitch beaded wrap bracelet made popular by recent trends. Students can choose from a wide range of materials and can make either a double or triple wrap bracelet. $24 + materials at Eos Designs Studio.

Comedy Night at MLT with Accidentally on Purpose

7 – 9 p.m.

On Saturday, March 15, the outstanding comedy improv troupe Accidentally On Purpose(AOP) presents an evening of hilarious improvisational comedy in the style of the long-running hit TV show “Whose Line is it, Anyway?” The madcap evening of entertainment is audience driven, as patrons provide scene suggestions and participate in some scenes as volunteers. Location: Marblehead Little Theatre.

Marblehead All-Sports Boosters Bash

7 p.m.

Tickets are now available for the Boosters Bash! This is a 21+ event with Live band (alumni Gus Percy and Friends), raffle prizes, silent auction, passed hors d’oeuvres by Every Little Breeze Catering and fun!  The Boosters would like to extend an invitation to all parents, guardians, families, and friends in the community. We love seeing our young athletes enjoy the newly installed turf at Piper Field just as much as we enjoy watching our high school players compete. All proceeds from the Bash go directly back to the Boosters, supporting athletic programs at MHS and facilities used by many. Event is Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, Marblehead.

A Celebration of Frank Sinatra

7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Coming off the success of last year’s acclaimed concert, Rhapsody at 100: The Experiment Continues, band leader and crooner Matthew Arnold and his New England Yankees take you on a retrospective through the career of one of America’s most beloved singers. Join them for a night of timeless music and nostalgia as they pay tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra and the iconic Great American Songbook. Live Jazz Music

3 – 5 p.m.

Need a little jazz music this winter? Come out to hear Tom Palance on trumpet, Joe Mulholland on piano and Broneck Suchanek on bass on Sunday, March 16 from 3 – 5 p.m. Reservations are required. Email Margi Flint at margiflint117@gmail to arrange seats. $20-$35 per person.

Composer’s Muse, an organ concert featuring Cathy Meyer

5 p.m.

On Sunday, March 16th, at 5 p.m., St Michael’s will present the Composer’s Muse, an organ concert featuring Cathy Meyer. For centuries, composers in awe of the organ’s majesty have written masterpieces that have remained in the repertoire to this day. Often overlooked, however, are the masterpieces being written today that will become the classics of the years to come. In our penultimate program of this series, Cathy Meyer, Minister of Music and Organist at South Church(UCC) in Andover, will present works by contemporary and living composers as we celebrate the present and future of our organ. There is a suggested price of $20.00 at the door. There will be a reception following the concert.

Monday, March 17

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

4 p.m. – CLOSE

Head out to The Beacon for a St. Patrick’s Day party. The Johnny Ray Band will play an early show at 4 p.m. 123 Pleasant St., Marblehead.

Tuesday, March 18

Dinner at The Landing to Support Marblehead Museum

6 p.m.

Join the Marblehead Museum at The Landing for their annual fundraising dinner. The museum will be raising money for the final archaeological dig at the Jeremiah Lee Mansion, and they will display artifacts discovered on past digs. 15% of customers’ bills will be donated to the museum. The dinner begins at 6pm and reservations are recommended, as space is limited. To make reservations, call The Landing at 781-639-1266.

Wednesday, March 19

Beaded Macrame Class

4 – 5:30 p.m.

Unleash your creativity in this Beaded Macrame Bracelet class, perfect for kids ages 8-12! Learn the art of macrame and create stunning bracelets using colorful cords and sparkling stones. This hands-on jewelry-making experience is fun, educational, and a great way for kids to express their style. All materials are included—ideal for young crafters who love working with beads and knots. Space is limited to ten kids, and registration is required. Location: Abbot Public Library.

Elia Taverna Chamber Ribbon Cutting

5 – 7 p.m.

Join the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce and Elia Taverna for a Business After Hours & Ribbon Cutting Celebration. The Chamber is kicking off their 2025 Business After Hours networking season with Elia Taverna, Marblehead’s family-owned authentic Greek restaurant. Network and mingle with friends and colleagues, enjoy delicious food and cash bar. Elia Taverna is located at 261 Washington St.

Saving Our Shoreline

7 – 8:30 p.m.

Since 2018, Barbara Warren, Salem Sound Coastwatch’s Executive Director, has been providing a yearly update on local climate adaptation efforts and the state of the climate. Keeping track of the many ongoing projects is not a simple task, but Warren and the Salem Sound Coastwatch staff are working with Salem Sound municipalities and residents to build climate awareness and coastal resilience. This presentation is an opportunity to see the breadth of projects taking place in the Salem Sound communities, from climate resilient seawalls, floodable parks, living shorelines and coastal bank stabilization. Come learn about projects that are designed to make our shorelines more resistant to increasing storms, precipitation and sea level rise. Registration required. Attendance in person is limited to 50 attendants, or attend via Zoom.
