Glover’s Regiment Summer Encampment

On Saturday, July 15, the Glover’s Marblehead Regiment Encampment will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fort Sewall. At the encampment, participants will be part of a number of activities including skirmishes against the crown, camp tours, and living-history demonstrations such as musket-ball making, leather working, and corn-husk doll making. In addition, there will be an 18th-century medicine demo, butter churning, and a children’s musket demonstration.

Tom Palance Quartet

Enjoy Jazz in the Garden with a performance by the Tom Palance Quartet on Sunday, July 16, at 2 p.m. The performance will take place at 10 Central St. and reservations are appreciated. Shaded seating will be provided along with some tables. Tickets are $20-$35 and kids are $10 or free. Guests are invited to bring snacks and drinks. Island Roots Summer Camp

The Island Roots Summer Camp will be taking place from Monday, June 17, to Friday, July 21. At the camp, kids will enjoy a number of activities including hiking, outdoor games, walking trips to local playgrounds, board games and puzzles, counselor-led activities, and crafts, along with a maker space, a builder space, and a music room. Camp days run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with an optional extended day until 5 p.m. Island Roots Summer Camps will run until August 25.
