What does the town Taxation Aid Committee do?

The Taxation Aid Committee was established after the Town accepted the provisions of the state law prescribing how communities can assist low income elderly and disabled persons to help meet their property tax obligations. The Committee has adopted guidelines to carry out the provisions of this section and to identify the recipients of such aid.

Committee members are Pam Foye, chair; Council on Aging Director Lisa Hooper; Board of Assessors Chairman John P. Kelley, and Bonnie Grenier, an active Marblehead League of Women Voters members.

The Committee meets at the Judy and Gene Jacobi Community Center, 10 Humphrey St.
