The Marblehead Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of its new girls varsity hockey coach, Hadley Woodfin.
The Marblehead graduate (Class of 2016) comes as a familiar face. While attending MHS, she was a standout field hockey and ice hockey player. Woodfin captained the hockey team during her junior and senior years, and was also a steady contributor to the lacrosse program before playing four years of varsity field hockey at Colby-Sawyer College.
Woodfin takes over from former coach Brittany Smith.
“We want to thank Brittany for her three years of dedication to the program and wish her nothing but the best moving forward,” Athletic Director Greg Ceglarski said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have Hadley at the forefront of the Marblehead girls hockey program. She brings passion, energy, and a wealth of knowledge and experience to the school, and we have no doubt it will be a smooth transition.”
