Clifton Lutheran Church

Council Meeting is the third Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the church library.

 

Grace Community Church

17 Pleasant St. 

We meet Sundays at 10:30 a.m. September through May in the church sanctuary (17 Pleasant St.). The service also is projected in the Fellowship Hall and the Parlor for those who would like to use those spaces. 

Our services last about an hour and include Scripture, singing, and prayers. See gracemarblehead.org for information on streamed services and to download our most recent bulletin.

The youth group meets in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for food, a game, and a lesson. Open to youth from sixth grade to twelfth grade.

The prayer team gathers on Thursdays at 1 p.m. in the Parlor. There is a box in the back of the sanctuary if you have prayer requests to share.

All are welcome to join us for our in-person craft night on the third Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. We will spread out in the Fellowship Hall to be socially distant, and you’ll have plenty of room to work on your craft!

A Passover Seder will take place on Maundy Thursday, April 6 at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall, which will include a light meal. Please sign up on the sheet on the back table if you plan to attend and if you can provide a few food items. Questions? Contact Steve Misarski.

 

Our Lady, Star of the Sea

Regular weekend Mass schedule includes Saturday Vigil, 4 p.m., and Sunday, 7:30, 9, and 11 a.m.

​Regular weekday Mass schedule is 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday. 

Confessions are heard every Saturday, 2:30–3:30 p.m. in the church. Also upon request, at any reasonable time. Please call for an appointment.

To make arrangements for Baptism and Baptismal Catechesis, please contact the Rectory at (781) 631-0086, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

We have a training session for Altar Servers on Monday, March 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. This training session is for new and seasoned Altar Servers. We welcome all ages (grade 3+) into this ministry. Children assigned Monday Religious Education classes will be excused from class if attending this training. Old North Church

35 Washington St. 

Weekly worship services are held in the Sanctuary from early September through late June. Please note that our Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible and large-type bulletins are available. 

Old North Church is wired with a hearing loop. If your hearing aids are fitted with telecoils (as are most today), simply switch to your telecoil or “T” program; speech picked up by the lectern microphone will be broadcast directly to your ears. 

Communion is held on the first Sunday of each month. All are invited to participate. A contemplative service without music is held at 8 a.m. The traditional service with music is at 10 a.m. 

Special worship services: Ash Wednesday service is held at 7 a.m. Maundy Thursday service of Tenebrae is held at 8 p.m.

Sunday school is available for children (pre-K through sixth grade) during the program year as well as professional childcare for infants and toddlers. Children of all ages are free to take part in our Sunday school or to be in worship with their parents. After the 10 a.m. service, coffee hour is held in the Parish Hall.  

Easter Sunday worship services are held at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. We also offer a sunrise worship service at Old Burial Hill (check calendar listings for the schedule since the time of sunrise changes from year to year).

Church of St. Andrew

135 Lafayette St.

We celebrate Rite II of the Episcopal liturgy at our regular Sunday services at 8 and 10 a.m. with slight changes of schedule for major holy days, such as Easter and Christmas and with occasional special alternate liturgies. The 8 a.m. service is a spoken service; the 10 a.m. service is a musical service, with hymns and organ.

The Beloved Community Team has members both from St. Andrew’s and from our sister parish, St. Stephen’s, Lynn. We meet the second Thursday evening of each month at St. Stephen’s. We challenge ourselves with brave, courageous conversations, focusing on white privilege and the eradication of racism and social injustice.

 

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church

26 Pleasant St.

Worship services are held on Sundays, in-person and online on our YouTube Channel (visit stmichaels1714.org for link), Holy Eucharist, Rite II, at 10 a.m. Wednesday service of Holy Eucharist and Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. in-person.

First Sundays, 5 p.m. Choral Evensong, in-person, October through May.

 

St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church

67 Cornell Road

Sunday services are in-person or online at 10:30 a.m. Vespers are 7 p.m. on select Wednesdays throughout the year.

Temple Emanu-El

We welcome Shabbat on Fridays, 6-7 p.m. Services are being streamed on our Facebook page accessed by visiting emanu-el.org/service-schedule. Congregants and visitors may also attend in person for Shabbat worship.

Our monthly Family Shabbat services are at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and arts and crafts for kids. 

Torah study takes place at 10 a.m. on the first and second Saturdays of the month via Zoom.

Service times include Kabbalat Shabbat, Friday, 6 p.m.

Shabbat service, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. and Minyans, Saturday, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Tuesday-Thursday Minyans are held at Congregation Shirat Hayam, 55 Atlantic Ave., Swampscott.

Parking is available at Harris Court, Mugford, Pond, and in the Gerry School parking lot on Elm Street.
