The Marblehead Museum will host Pam Peterson for a talk on her new book, “Historic Burial Grounds of Marblehead,” on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. The talk will also be available via Zoom.
Peterson, director of the Marblehead Historical Commission, profiles Marblehead’s 13 burial cemeteries and the famous Marbleheaders buried within them, from John Glover at Old Burial Hill, the Boston Tea Party’s Elisha Story in Green Street Cemetery, and Mary Alley in Harborview Cemetery.
Peterson will also discuss the importance of cemeteries to our commemoration of the past.
Copies of the book will be on sale in the museum gift shop, and Peterson will autograph copies after the talk. Tickets are $10 for museum members and $15 for the public.
