The Marblehead Seasiders, of the North Shore Baseball League, have kicked off their season. The team stands at 0-3 (15 runs scored, 21 runs against), according to the league’s website as of Tuesday.
Leading Marblehead’s offense are Jack Tsoutsouras (3 H), Josh Sigmund (3 H), Jack Lindsay (2 H), Trey Blackmer (2 H, 2 RBI), Derek Finn (2 H), Ben Richardson (2 H), Matt Tinoco (2 H, 3 RBI), Ben Shea (H, 2 RBI), Brannon Frost (H, 2 RBI), and Wilbur Rosario (3 BB).
Across two games, James Giugino has pitched seven innings, allowing five hits, two earned runs, and two walks to go with five strikeouts and a 2.00 ERA.
The Seasiders are plating runs, but dropped two games by a run. They lost to North Reading (6-5 final), Beverly (9-8 final), and Rowley (6-2 final).
Next up is a road game against Peabody Thursday. First pitch is slated for 7:45 p.m. at Twi Field in Danvers. The Seasiders return to Seaside Park Saturday at 2 p.m. against Swampscott.
